A Status Update on These LA Restaurants That Narrowly Survived the Woolsey Fire

These are some of the restaurants affected by the massive Southern California fire in San Fernando and Conejo Valleys

Eater compiled a list of Malibu restaurants affected by the Woolsey Fire yesterday. But the destruction path is so vast, and requires another look at the Valley side of the Santa Monica mountains, including Thousand Oaks, Chatsworth, Calabasas, Simi Valley, Agoura Hills, and Westlake Village.

As of today, the Woolsey Fire has destroyed 96,314 acres, 435 structures, and cost two people their lives. The Los Angeles Times reported the blaze as 35 percent contained, but these confirmations are moving targets. Only yesterday, CBS LA reported that hundreds of Thousand Oaks residents were allowed to return home, only to immediately re-evacuate after the Woolsey Fire sparked a new flare-up.

Many of these areas neighborhoods are still under evacuation, and some restaurant owners haven’t been able to survey their properties for damage. It’s been an incredibly tough week for the area, as a mass-shooting occurred in Thousand Oaks only a week ago.

Old Place Restaurant — The access bridge to classic roadhouse the Old Place was completely damaged, but the 48-year-old restaurant was spared from any damage. It’s unclear when the access bridge will be repaired or if the restaurant will close as a result of the bridge damage.

Triunfo Creek Vineyards — The winery isn’t saying much about the damage, but the website asks that no one visit the winery in Agoura Hills.

Yesterday’s horrible tragedy hits so close to home for us here at Triunfo Creek. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families.

Inn Of The Seventh Ray — Due to mandatory evacuations, the Inn Of The Seventh Ray closed on November 10. All Topanga restaurants are in the same predicament as this established Topanga Canyon eatery, and are unable to survey the any damage until the roads are deemed safe.

As our doors remain closed our hearts remain open. If you would like to help the victims of the fire, the LAFD recommends donating to the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region. ❤️

To all Rock Store friends we are still here, thank God. This picture was taken 20 mins ago. Our prayers go to anyone affected by the fires.
