Gaggan Anand comes to Los Angeles for a very special pop-up
Gaggan in Bangkok, currently the number five restaurant on the World’s Fifty Best, will be cooking a special one-night dinner at Trois Mec this Sunday, September 16. Avant garde Indian chef Gaggan Anand will be bringing a team of seven cooks to Los Angeles for a relatively reasonable price of $175 a person (plus tax, tip, and drinks), with seats available on Resy. Tickets go on sale exactly at 10 a.m. tomorrow, and expect them to sell out within minutes.
Anand was the subject of an episode of Netflix’s Chef’s Table, and his highly regarded Bangkok restaurant is currently the top fine dining establishment in Asia. The Bangkok restaurant charges 6,500 baht a person for dinner, which comes out to nearly $200, making this Trois Mec dinner actually cheaper than what one would pay in Thailand.
Last year Anand announced that he would eventually close Gaggan in 2020, so this is a rare chance for Angelenos to try a “progressive Indian” tasting menu from one of the world’s most highly regarded chefs.
