BKB Closing Due to 'Creative Differences With Czech Republic'

That was fast.

BKB, the East 73rd Street outpost of Hamptons mega hit Bay Kitchen Bar, is closing after little over a year. “We are saddened to announce that March 15 will be the last day of service for our Upper East Side location,” confirmed chef/owner Eric Miller. “We are approaching the end of our year lease and due to creative differences with the Czech Republic, who are the landlords of the space, we have decided it is in the best interest of our restaurant group to move on. We look forward to focusing our efforts on our flagship location, Bay Kitchen Bar, in East Hampton over the busy summer months.” The restaurant is housed in the Bohemian National Hall’s ground floor space. As you may recall, this was once home to a well-reviewed Czech restaurant called Hospoda.

Miller plans to open a new city place in the fall. “We are currently searching for locations downtown,” he says.
