Now you really never need to leave.
Tomorrow, Blue Bottle Coffee will begin an incremental launch of a new food program at all of its Los Angeles cafes. For those of you who have lost track, the roaster currently has locations in Abbott Kinney, Arts District, Beverly Grove, and Echo Park, with a Culver City outlet at The Platform on the horizon.
First up will be a breakfast bar made with dates, oats, and a medley of pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower seeds that will be available at all locations tomorrow. Beverly Blvd will get a full program with dishes like roasted pumpkin soup with pepita lebneh, croque monsieur, and chia pudding with orange marmalade and pistachio dukkah. In the coming weeks, both Beverly Grove and Echo Park will expand their menus with seasonal toasts like roast beef with cheddar mayo, pickled onions, and watercress, plus salads like cauliflower with sumac yogurt.
All in all, the Mediterranean-leaning menu of light bites sounds like a nice addition to the coffee shops, and, when paired with its single origin pourovers and hip digs, you might just never want to leave.
