Diane von Furstenberg Gets In the Direct-to-Consumer Game

Aside from being a style icon and household name, Diane von Furstenberg is also a savvy businesswoman, which is why it’s not surprising she is among the designers trying out a direct-to-consumer business model for Fall 2016. During her presentation tomorrow, DVF plans to debut a capsule collection within her runway looks that will be available to purchase in real time on DVF.com, allowing her customers around the world to update their wardrobes at the click of a button.

But even smarter than offering see-now, buy-now pieces is the style DVF chose to promote: the slip dress. DVF will offer it in various silhouettes, all reimagined with deco flourishes that fit in with the rest of her Fall 2016 collection. Get a sneak peek at the styles being offered for sale tomorrow exclusively here, and take some advice from the designer herself: “Feel like a woman—wear a dress!”
