They’ve been working on these specialty holiday drinks for weeks
In an annual tradition, the crew at Go Get Em Tiger are giving a coffee makeover to Starbucks’ holiday drinks on Thanksgiving Day. The only difference this year is the location, with the caffeinated antics taking place at the Los Feliz store from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The recognizable drink names are nothing like the originals, with all ingredients prepared in-house. So the peppermint mocha uses chocolate that’s been tempered on site, along with the candied mint. Hot or cold is optional for the carbonated The Pink Lady apple cider. The chestnut praline latte is a non-espresso boba drink paired with Okinawa sweet potato macadamia milk, caramelized sugar vanilla syrup. The Tigers top it with whipped coconut cream, salt and powdered candied chestnuts.
Cider is $5, and all other drinks run between $8 and $10 dollars. The Go Get Em Tiger crew wants the city to stay awake for the day, with an in-store bottomless coffee cup for $4. Go Get Em Tiger’s traditional menu will resume on Black Friday, along with the accompanying Dodger Bobbleheads to their display area.
