Is the Former Bar 107 Owner Opening a Wine Bar on 5th Street Downtown?

And what happened to Auntie Em’s?

Vee Delgadillo certainly keeps busy, with news today that the longtime Downtown bar owner may well be tackling a new wine bar project, tentatively titled Overflow, to land at 5th and Main. The address would be a familiar one, since it once held Two Bits Market (of which Delgadillo has long been connected) and more recently played home to the short-lived Auntie Em’s expansion into Downtown.

Of course, Delgadillo has more than just a possible wine bar concept on her plate these days. The former Bar 107 head is already busy enough, having opened Bar Mattachine last October. She’s also celebrating the one year anniversary of her New Orleans-themed spot The Little Easy, also in Downtown.

Still, insiders say that Overflow, or whatever it will be called, is definitely happening, and it could open as early as the end of the month, though an active ABC license for the space has so far proven elusive. Eater reached out to Delgadillo to get more information on the proposed project, but so far hasn’t heard back.
