The Pizza Experience arrives October 1 and tickets go on sale in late June
As interactive food pop-ups have become the new normal, LA’s next looks at Italy’s biggest export — pizza. The Pizza Experience arrives to Los Angeles this October with over 14,000 square feet of pizza-themed interactive rooms. And with an especially friendly touch, organizers plan to bestow each visitor with a single slice of pizza upon exit.
CEO and founder of The Pizza Experience Robin Boytos invented the pizza-themed pop-up to celebrate personal moments with pizza. Boytos calls The Pizza Experience a ‘multi-sensory museum,’ with pizza snacks throughout the exhibit, and 12 to 15 pizza-designed rooms that will inevitably fill Instagram feeds for weeks.
Full details are still taking shape, but some rooms will resemble a pizza night club, a pizza fitness club to competitively work off calories, a room where visitors can roll around in pizza dough, squeeze pizza dough, or dive into an oversized cheese cushion pool.
Boytos’ nostalgia around pizza is what drives The Pizza Experience. “It’s not just pizza, it’s about those memories,” says Boytos. “People can expect to come to a playground for adults with selfie stations, and cat walks.”
After Los Angeles, the Pizza Experience comes for Chicago in early 2019. Prices are $30 per person and LA tickets go on sale June 29 at 9 a.m.
