Burbank Beer Fest
What: Burbank’s second Oktoberfest is more like a street festival, where organizers cordon off a few streets in downtown Burbank. With live entertainment and 85 beers from 45 breweries, the festival is something to behold. There’s even a discounted $10 entry for designated drivers. There’s two $45 tasting sessions from noon to 3 p.m., and a second from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Klatch Coffee’s Elida Geisha Experience
What: It’s quite the hike to Rancho Cucamonga and a pricey entry, but Klatch Coffee is serving a limited supply of Elida Geisha, some of the world’s most sought after coffee. At $803 and $661 per pound, the Elida Geisha 803 and 97+ are being served by specialty baristas to ensure proper roasting. Attendees will likely secure enough caffeine to make the drive back to LA.

Harry Potter-Inspired High Tea
What: When adult high tea mashes up with the famed Hogwarts, the result is a Harry Potter-inspired tea at the W Hollywood. All ages are welcome, but to try the booze potion, be prepared to flash ID. Service from a three-tiered serving platter includes cakes, sandwiches, and regular teas. There’s only three seatings at 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.

Fall Grilling Class at chi SPACCA
What: Saturday’s event with Chef Ryan DeNicola is perfect for fall. DeNicola will demonstrate grilling prowess, then serve lunch paired with wine. The demo and menu includes “Moorish” Lamb Shoulder Chop with Mint Yogurt Bistecca Fiorentina Grilled Broccolini.

Sunday, October 21
What: Maple Block Meat Co.’s second annual Blocktoberfest is this Sunday. Come with an empty stomach and $65 for all-you-can-eat menu brisket, chopped pork shoulder, spare ribs, house-made sausages with beer mustard, signature brisket tacos, traditional barbecue sides, corn bread, beer, and music. Gorge without guilt, as five percent of ticket sale will be donated to Share Our Strengths’ No Kid Hungry.

Dia de los Cerveceros y Cocineros
What: LA’s Latino homebrew club SoCal Cerveceros put together Dia de los Cerveceros y Cocineros. It’s an East LA beer festival with samples from 30 home-brewed craft brewers, live music, and DJs from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
