The nightlife impresarios have plans for the old STK and Bagatelle
The busy h.wood Group keeps rolling along, with news today that John Terzian and Brian Toll have tucked into a longterm lease for the former STK and Bagatelle space on La Cienega.
Things have been quietly coming together at the site for some time now, with the group planning to flip STK’s shimmery insides into a nightclub while keeping Bagatelle as some unknown restaurant concept down the line. Longtime collaborator John Sofio will design and build both outlets.
There is limited information still on the names and official timing of the spaces, but this ABC license points to a couple of names: Petit Taqueria and Poppy. Based on those monikers it would seem to make sense that the taco spot would take over the restaurant side of things, with a club called Poppy in the former STK digs.
H.wood Group says that, regardless of name and concept, both iterations should be live by May of this year. In the meantime, you can check out the team’s other properties around town, like their newly revamped Blind Dragon space up on Sunset Boulevard. And if you just can’t get enough STK in your life, the new location for the old restaurant is now over in Westwood.
